About this event
The Alte Oper Frankfurt presents a unique festival bridging Frankfurt and New York through music and visual art. Over four days in March 2027, the Großer Saal will host performances by The Knights, Ensemble Modern, and jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant, accompanied by projections of masterpieces from the Met Collection. Max Hollein, former director of Frankfurt's Städel Museum and now director of the Met, will guide audiences through the programme, which includes Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and a live film scan of Jackson Pollock's 'Number 28'.
