About this event
The exhibition unfolds across six chronological chapters, exploring how the bicycle transformed postal work from 1896 onward. Historic postal bikes, original uniforms, sturdy delivery bags, documents, and photographs bring the story to life – from the first service bikes to today’s electric cargo trikes. A section on women’s cycling shows how the bicycle became a tool for emancipation and shaped the iconic image of the female postal worker. You can climb onto a loaded delivery bike and get a hands-on feel for a carrier’s working day. The show weaves together technology, social history, and everyday life, encouraging reflection on personal mobility and sustainable transport.
