Kobby Adi: My Skeleton

Kobby Adi makes sculptural works that probe the relationship between object, viewer, and architecture, drawing on post-minimalist and conceptual traditions. In *My Skeleton*, he presents a new body of sculpture that treats Portikus’s island site as part of the work itself – deliberately dissolving the usual boundaries between inside and outside, artwork and surroundings. The exhibition grows out of a desire to see the act of looking not as a detached stance but as a direct exchange, where spatial and linguistic categories become porous. The gallery becomes less a container for objects and more a field of mutual relations. A booklet with photographs by artist Nina Porter accompanies the show, tracing the leaking edges of work and place in its own visual language. The experience suits anyone open to a quiet, conceptual encounter – a calm but demanding walk through a room that keeps renegotiating its own structure.
