Leonor Fini (1907–1996) was a versatile artist known for her surreal, often enigmatic paintings, drawings, photographs, and object art. The SCHIRN dedicates the first major retrospective in Germany to her, offering a deep insight into her fascinating oeuvre – from her early works to later, lesser-known pieces. The exhibition features around 100 works, including paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects. Influenced by the Renaissance, Symbolism, German Romanticism, and magical Surrealism, Fini developed a distinctive visual language hovering between dream, myth, and fantasy.
