Step into four thematic halls that bring the historic exhibitions of 1901, 1904, 1908, and 1914 into dialogue with contemporary design and art. You’ll see original works by the likes of Peter Behrens alongside modern pieces that tackle today's big questions—from community and identity to future living. The show brings the past to life with large-scale 3D colour reconstructions of the early exhibition buildings, created using AI and photographs. Interactive installations invite you to explore how design shapes our everyday lives, then and now. As part of World Design Capital 2026, this exhibition positions Darmstadt as a hub where heritage meets forward-thinking creativity.
