About this event
On selected evenings, an ensemble of eight to ten performers aged 15 to 24 transforms Hall 1 of the SCHIRN, still home to the major Leonor Fini retrospective, into a live stage. The hour-long performance, developed withJunges Schauspiel Franfurt, combines movement text, and the surreal visual language of Fini's paintings to explore identity, self-presentation, andender roles. Fini an Argentine-Italian artist linked toSurrealism, is kown or dreamlike canvasses inhabited by sphinxes, hybrid creatures, and commanding women who blur the line between human and myth. Her work, both as backdrop and inspiration for the young cast who channel her hybrid figres through their own experiences of adolescentce and self-discovery. The audience sits inside the exhibition gallery, surrounded by the very paintings that sparked the project pling everyone into an immersive encounter that feels far from conventional theatre.
