Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn are two iconic characters from Mark Twain's 19th-century novels set along the Mississippi River. Tom is a mischievous boy living with his Aunt Polly, while the free-spirited Huckleberry Finn is a homeless boy and Tom's best friend. Together they embark on countless adventures — from treasure hunts and break-ins to murder cases and fleeing society. The production weaves a humorous and touching story about first love, the bonds of friendship, and the struggle between keeping a promise and acting responsibly, all underscored by musical themes from German-American composer Kurt Weill (The Threepenny Opera). John von Düffel adapted Twain's novel for the stage in 2014, incorporating Weill's five Huckleberry Finn songs alongside newly and freely re-lyricised songs from Weill's American creative period. The show runs approximately 120 minutes including an interval and is recommended for ages 10 and up.
