About this event
Swiss artist Nina Caviezel’s installation is a satellite of the Museum Giersch’s large exhibition „DEEP FIELD. Die Vermessung des Unvorstellbaren“ and occupies the newly opened RAMPE space at Atelierfrankfurt. The work turns a lens on the cleaning processes and ultra‑clean environments that are essential for contemporary astronomy – from dust on telescope mirrors to the sterile chambers where space instruments are assembled. Caviezel translates these often invisible routines into a spatial, atmospheric encounter that has little in common with dry science, but a sharp eye for what usually goes unnoticed. Because access requires advance registration by email or phone, it is quiet and focused, more like a deliberate art pilgrimage than a spontaneous drop‑in. The setting suits anyone curious about where art and astrophysics meet, whether you come alone, with a partner or with a couple of friends.
