About this event
DEEP FIELD at Museum Giersch der Goethe-Universität tackles the challenge of visualising the unimaginable – the vast, complex systems that shape our world, from climate data to cosmic scales. The exhibition brings together international artists and scientists who use data visualisation, simulation, and speculative design to make these invisible forces tangible. Visitors can expect large-scale projections, interactive installations, and works that translate abstract numbers into sensory experiences. The show questions how we perceive and represent phenomena that exceed human scales of time and space, inviting reflection on trust in data, the aesthetics of information, and the narratives we build around scientific models.
