About this event

Now in its 49th edition, LUCAS presents a curated selection of feature and short films—all German premieres—competing in three age-section competitions: Kids, Teens, and Youngsters. Beyond the screenings, the festival places a strong emphasis on dialogue: filmmakers from around the world engage with young audiences in post-film talks. Young film fans can get involved as moderators, festival reporters, or jury members, while industry professionals can attend conferences and panel discussions on film education and youth film production trends.
