About this event
Choreographer Eszter Salamon has long focused on female subjectivities and transgenerational ties. In “M/OTHERS” she steps on stage with her mother Erzsébet Gyarmati for the second time: a quiet 70-minute duet that uses movement, sensual attention, and a constant reweaving of their bodies to create a poetic inquiry into the mother-daughter bond. No language is needed – the piece builds a space of empathy, care, and mutual discovery. On Saturday, an English-language film lecture (“Mothers & Daughters”) screens, sharing Salamon’s choreographic research into feminist genealogies and practices of care. Sunday morning offers a free, English-language workshop for mother-daughter pairs (no dance experience required; registration by email) to explore the theme through their own movement. The whole programme is part of “The Lesser Told Story,” a mini-festival in which artists bring hidden, untold narratives to the fore.
