Feral Reverie

Choreographer Parvin Saljoughi, a Tehran-born artist now based in Brussels, builds work around the body's relationship to surveillance, categorisation, and social control – questions she approaches through the lens of displacement and suppressed histories. In "Feral Reverie" she treats wildness not as romantic metaphor but as active insubordination against a world that demands predictability. Three performers share the stage with projections, 3D animations, and an enveloping sound design by Mar* Szydłowska (lighting by Meri Ekola). Movement phrases fracture mid-gesture; rhythms deliberately derail; bodies behave like corrupted code that refuses to be repaired. The stage becomes what the production calls a "sci-fi ruin" – a shimmering unstable space where digital landscapes and physical presence blur into each other, and glitch, breakdown and evasion become a language of survival. The piece runs roughly 80 minutes without interval. Be aware that amplified audio reaches very high levels, with sharp sonic events throughout – earplugs are available and recommended. One sequence in which a performer's head is passed between bodies by kicking may be unsettling. Saturday's showing includes a pre-performance warm-up at 19:30, while Sunday closes with an artist talk.
