About this event

Jucki Ha brings a show that sits squarely at the intersection of stand-up comedy and dad nostalgia. He builds his act around the everyday absurdities of raising children in the 2020s while looking back at his own youth in the 1990s – complete with live renditions of dance moves to tracks by artists like the Vengaboys and Backstreet Boys. The routines swing between sharp observations about the gap between a Gameboy-era childhood and today’s slang-filled family life, and high-energy physical comedy that sees a forty-something dad cutting loose on stage. The format is a classic sit-down comedy show with a microphone, quick-witted storytelling, short video or music clips, and a generous dose of self-mockery. Because the humour revolves heavily around the parenting experience, the evening lands best with adults – especially those who either have children themselves or remember chasing maxi-CDs as a teenager. Teenagers may come along with parents but should not expect a show built for them; the material is written from a dad’s perspective. The entire performance is in German.
