Tom Gerhardt: Full Pack!

About this event

Tom Gerhardt returns to the stage with a solo programme that brings together his most popular comic creations, four decades after his first live show. Best known for playing the hopelessly bumbling caretaker Hausmeister Krause in a long-running German sitcom and film series, Gerhardt now inhabits the entire Krause family: from mother Lisbeth, the embodiment of petty-bourgeois narrow-mindedness, to daughter Carmen, now an anti-social influencer, and son Tommie, the clueless wrecking ball with his signature beanie and noisy exhaust. The line-up is rounded out with a gallery of everyday monsters – an over-the-top super-nerd, a raging super-aggro, and an outrageously sexist body part – all sent on a collision course with contemporary sensibilities. The humour is deliberately provocative and unapologetic, written together with long-time collaborator Franz Krause. Expect an unabashedly German-language character comedy that picks apart new prudishness, small-minded hypocrisy and self-righteousness. The crowd will be loud and the laughs unflinching – just as the evening demands.
