Sculpture Lab Show

About this event

For a few days, the sculpture workshop of the Städelschule turns itself into an exhibition space. Students and alumni of the academy present pieces that grew out of the Daimlerstrasse workshops – sculptures, installations and performances. The charm of the setup lies in its unpolishedness: workbenches, raw materials and the productive mess of a real-making space merge with the artistic intrusions. The opening night features a compact performance programme and pleny of opportunity to chat with the artists. At the closing, the hal becomes a spot for music and drinks – a celebration of the Daimlerstrasse location and the sculpture community. An informal, low-threshold look at what is curently emerging in Frankfurt's art schools, perfect for curious neighbours and anyone who wants to see what hapens behind the studio doo.
