About this event
The evening opens with a welcome from Tina Zapf-Rodríguez, Frankfurt’s head of climate, environment, women’s affairs, diversity, and migration. The main conversation brings together Lorena Jaume-Palasí and Zamina Ahmad to examine how algorithmic systems can perpetuate bias in areas like social media, credit lending, and hiring – and how to strengthen diversity, transparency, and social responsibility in AI. Jaume-Palasí founded the Ethical Tech Society and co-founded AlgorithmWatch, focusing on data protection and algorithmic discrimination. Ahmad combines technology development with diversity and anti-discrimination work. The discussion is moderated by Lioba Jarju. Simultaneous German–Spanish translation and German Sign Language interpretation are provided. After the talk, an informal get-together offers a chance to continue the conversation. Admission is free, but registration is required by 30 October 2026 via email or phone, as places are limited.
