In 2018, Frankfurt lawyer Seda Başay-Yıldız received a death threat signed "NSU 2.0" — a reference to the National Socialist Underground terror cell. The investigation led back to a police computer at Frankfurt's Precinct 1 and to an internal chat group where officers swapped swastikas and anti-Semitic jokes. This is not fiction. Director Nuran David Calis and his team researched the case on the ground, interviewing politicians, activists, and people who received the threats. What they built is a fast-moving documentary collage that jumps between video footage, performative re-enactments, and live music by Vivan Bhatti. The three actors — Torsten Flassig, Lotte Schubert, and Mark Tumba — move fluidly between perpetrator, victim, and commentator, shifting tone from cold script-readings to sudden outbursts of anger. The result is an uncomfortable, award-winning evening that asks how far right-wing networks really reach in Frankfurt and what that means for democracy. Be aware the stage language contains discriminatory, racist, sexist, and violence-inciting material.
