Natalya Karmazin – Karma Jazz Trio

About this event

Ukrainian-born pianist Natalya Karmazin moved to Frankfurt in 2000, studied jazz under Christof Spendel and Richie Beirach, and has been a fixture of the local jazz scene ever since. With her Karma Jazz Trio – Jens Biehl on drums, Chris Rücker on double bass – she builds a sound that merges her classical training with a modern jazz vocabulary and subtle Eastern European inflections. The evening favours emotional breadth over flash: the trio works through lyrical, overtonerich passages, then shifts into rhythmically charged interplay, always with a sense of collective breathing. It’s a listening experience in the snug setting of Frankfurt Art Bar, where the music is front and centre and the atmosphere stays intimate.
