Autumn Holiday Programme at Günthersburg Adventure Playground

This is the autumn holiday programme at the Günthersburg adventure playground, which is run by Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald e.V. and staffed by educators. It is aimed at children aged 6 to 14, who can drop in during opening hours and join a different activity each day. The first week is about making things: building kites, crafting tin-can lanterns, sawing in the workshop with fret saws, and cooking together in the adventure kitchen. On Tuesdays there are climbing sessions on the Günthersburg site. The second week continues with designing wooden lamps, dipping candles and pottery with clay. It finishes on Friday with bread-on-a-stick baked over the campfire. On the Saturdays the playground hands out tools so kids can build and tinker on their own. Most activities run for two to three hours in the afternoon, so kids can come for one session or stay and play for the day. A few activities carry a small material or food charge (climbing, adventure kitchen, candle dipping, Stockbrot). The playground is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
