Expect a spellbinding dialogue between two worlds: the deep roots of Greek traditional music, brought by internationally acclaimed lute player and singer George Xylouris, and the adventurous spirit of Cologne’s jazz and improv scene, channelled by bassist Athina Kontou and saxophonist Luise Volkmann. Together they reimagine centuries-old melodies in a radically contemporary light, weaving gentle folk motifs with bold improvisation inside the resonant Gethsemanekirche.
