This concert is the culmination of the third Young Ensemble Academy. Over the past days, musicians from diverse backgrounds have been coached by members of the Ensemble Modern, diving into 20th and 21st century music. Now they take the stage together to present a programme of fresh, contemporary sounds. The evening's highlight is 'As Skin Retains an Ocean in the Air' by Yuheng Chen, a piece written for a flexible large ensemble that will be premiered right here. Expect an adventurous mix of textures and energies, played by a multi-generational group of musicians in the industrial charm of the Naxoshalle.
