About this event
Rosa von Praunheim’s 2014 documentary takes you on a personal journey through his Frankfurt youth and early career. You’ll see chronological storytelling blended with fictional elements and conversations with companions – from the Offenbach Werkkunstschule and Hessischer Rundfunk to the banking district. The film is both a piece of city history and an entertaining encounter with post-war queer cinema. After the 90-minute screening, the space opens up for a discussion: Gabriela Bloem from Kunstwerk Praunheim, city guide Christian Setzepfandt and Marianne Spohner from naxos.Kino will talk with you and the other guests. A special highlight is the Männerchor Praunheim, who perform the hymn “Sound of Praunheim” live, linking the film’s story to the present.
