On September 12 and 13, cinemas across Germany slash their ticket prices to just 5 euros for every film, every seat, all weekend long. Frankfurt’s participating venues include CinemaxX, the Arthouse Kinos (Berger Straße and Höchst) and the premium ASTOR Film Lounge MyZeil. The regular programme runs alongside a menu of previews that are also covered by the deal – so you can catch a documentary about Chopin’s Paris years, the family comedy Adam’s Eight, the historical drama Beautiful Souls, or the thriller Gentle Monster (English subtitled) without paying a cent more. Premium seats including IMAX or recliners are part of the offer, and dedicated children’s films mean families can make it an affordable afternoon out.
