About this event
On this Friday evening, the Klingspor Museum presents Květa Pacovská’s artist’s book ‘Papierparadies’ as part of its Book of the Month series. Pacovská, a Czech painter and children’s book illustrator, saw the book as a space to be shaped and experienced physically – her conceptual visual style draws on Dadaism and Constructivism. You can wander through the current exhibition ‘From the Heart of Europe: Czech Book Art from 1900 to the Present’, which sets the scene for Pacovská’s work. The book bar opens at 6 p.m. with cold drinks, so the evening stays relaxed and social. Admission is by donation, and no prior knowledge of book arts is required – just drop in if you’re curious about illustration, design, or Eastern European art.
