Lange//Berweck//Lorenz pick up the thread of live electronics from the 1980s and bring it into the present. The evening weaves together works from almost 100 years: Julia Mihály’s Ein Raum, in dem man wohnt sonifies the biodata of houseplants, Annette Schmucki’s Repeat One cycle turns deconstructed pop into a loop of memory, and Florian Zwißler’s Mäßig schnelle Achtel stages a witty contest between human performance and studio experiment. After the interval, the trio revisits Bernard Parmegiani’s Strio & Stries (1980) and presents a transcription of Johanna Beyer’s Percussion Suite (1933), whose graphic notation and expanded sound world remain visionary.
