Unboxing: It Could Be Worse

About this event

Unboxing is the Schauspiel Frankfurt series where the theatre’s assistant directors dust off fresh plays and present them as staged readings. This edition, titled ‘It Could Be Worse’, brings together three contemporary texts that take a witty and intelligent look at catastrophes and end-time anxieties. Charlotte Zorell’s ‘Blackout’, Yannic Han Biao Federer’s ‘Drive In’ and Theresia Walser’s ‘Die Erwartung’ sketch scenarios that reflect on a society living through crises. The reading is performed by a small cast on the intimate Box stage, giving you a first taste of plays that might otherwise stay locked in a drawer.
