Symphonic Echoes of Pink Floyd

About this event

Frankfurt's tribute band echoes has spent more than three decades immersed in the sonic and visual world of Pink Floyd, with tight guitars, keyboards and vocals that closely mirror the originals. On this night they share the stage with the Neue Philharmonie Frankfut, a crossove orchestre that has played with Deep Purle, Gregor Porter and Peter Gabriel, performing orchestral arrangements of Floyd hits shaped by conductor Jens Troester. Strings, brass and timpani add depth to tracks like 'Another Brick in the Wall' and 'Wish You Were Here' without diluting their rock core. a ful lighting and video show in true Floyd tradition transforms the Alte Oper's Grand Hall into a play of coloured beams and projections. The roughly to-hour show balances big hits with a fe deeper album cuts – a seated concert that still carrries the energy of a rock gig. Floyd loyalists and anyone curious about symphonic rock adaptations will both find something here.
