Positions and Perspectives: Yousef Sweid

This evening is part of the Schauspiel Frankfurt’s new talk series “Positionen und Perspektiven”, a format dedicated to listening, questioning, and exploring personal takes on the pressing questions of our time. Each edition brings a different guest to the Kammerspiele stage, accompanied by the two regular moderators: political scientist Saba-Nur Cheema and historian Meron Mendel. The guest is actor and author Yousef Sweid, an Israeli-Palestinian known to international audiences from roles in “Game of Thrones” and films such as “The Bubble”. In 2025 he received the Israeli Academy of Film and Television award for best actor. As an Arab Christian whose biography is shaped by complex cultural and social positions, his work consistently circles around identity, origin, and communal life. Together with the moderators he will explore how art can keep a conversation going when societies drift apart. The entire evening is held in English, making it accessible to Frankfurt’s international audience.
