Nataniel Edelman Trio

About this event

Pianist Nataniel Edelman, originally from Buenos Aires and now based in Switzerland, brings his trio to Frankfurt for an evening of delicate, introspective jazz. Joining him are bassist Michael Formanek and saxophonist Michaël Attias – two longstanding figures in New York's creative jazz scene – to explore the quiet, atmospheric sound world of their album 'Un ruido de agua' (A Noise of Water). The music drifts between lyrical composed melodies and open collective improvisation, built around a spare, almost telepathic interplay. The set's ten pieces feel like a series of small, vivid sketches: a piano chord ripples like water, a saxophone line curls like smoke, a bass note anchors a moment of stillness. If you enjoy jazz that prizes texture, space and subtle detail over flashy virtuosity, this will be a rewarding evening.
