This comprehensive exhibition at the TOWER MMK brings together paintings, drawings, collages, and lithographs by Fritz Scholder (1937–2005), shown for the first time outside North America. Scholder's work directly challenges how Native American bodies and stories have been historically used as projection surfaces by a white majority, using humour and distortion to lay bare colonial power structures. Expect to see a mix of pop art aesthetics with hard-hitting social commentary.
