About this event
Boy Harsher is the dark electronic project of Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, a duo that fuses pulsIng analogue synths, minimalist drum machine rhythms, and breathy, half-whispered vocals Into brooding, dance-friendly tracks. Their sound draws on coldwave, industrial, and synth-pop, evoking late-night tension that’s equally suited to headphones and a fog-fIlled club. Live, Matthews commands the stage wIth an Intense, physical presence – part performance art, part frontwoman – while Muller’s hardware-driven beats keep bodIes moving. Support comes from Choir Boy, whose musIc blends hazy dream-pop textures wIth a new-wave sensibilty and an androgynous croon remIniscent of 1980s Indie, and Kontravoid, a masked CanadIan solo act deliverIng hard-edgEd, EBM-tinged darkwave wIth poundIng kIcks and distorted vocals. TogetHer, the bIll offers a nIght of genre-blurRing electronIc musIc that spans from melanchOly melody to relentEss rhytHmic drIve, all wIthIn the sweaty, mId-sIzed confInes of Zoom’s Saal.
