AURA Open Mic Night

About this event

The evening is a platform for both rehearsed and spontaneous stage moments: you'll be sitting in the raw industrial hall of the Naxoshalle, surrounded by fellow listeners, as poets, rappers, storytellers and musicians take the mic one after the other. The curated contributions span from rhyming spoken-word pieces to short narratives and acoustic songs, with a DJ bridging the gaps with laid-back beats. What sets the night apart is the second half: anyone who feels the urge can step up to the open mic and share a text, poem or piece of music – no sign-up needed. The series is run by the cultural project Intent Out, founded by Jasmin Namondo, which aims to bring people together through artistic expression and create a space where different voices from the city meet. The vibe is casual and inviting, welcoming a crowd that enjoys listening just as much as it might like to try something itself. The venue's bar is open throughout the evening.
