About this event
At this literary evening, authors Annika Büsing, Jarka Kubsova, and Geraldine Oetken read from their new novels and discuss family, repressed memories, and the chance for new beginnings. Büsing’s 'Magisch' (Magic) tells of a return to the Ruhr region, first love, and confronting family conflicts. Kubsova’s 'Im Licht des neuen Tages' (In the Light of a New Day) intertwines past and present in a moving story of female freedom and the search for truth. Oetken’s 'Frieda' uncovers the life of a long-ignored great-aunt and examines the weight of family silence. The conversation will be moderated by Bärbel Schäfer.
