Pettersson and Findus – The Most Beautiful Christmas Ever

About this event

Two days before Christmas, old Pettersson and his inquisitive cat Findus are snowed in on their farm. The cupboards are bare, the Christmas tree is still in the forest, and Pettersson's stubborn pride keeps him from accepting the neighbours' offers of help. When Findus nearly gets hurt trying to save the holiday, the two finally come together, build their own tree from household bits, and – when the doorbell rings – discover that the whole village has shown up with treats. Directed by Ali Samadi Ahadi, the film mixes live action with animation and tells a warm-hearted story about friendship and what really makes Christmas. The screening takes place in the baroque Holzhausenschlösschen, a quiet cultural venue with unreserved seating on the parquet floor. Parents with children from about four upwards who can sit through an 80-minute film will find a calm, commercial-free Advent Sunday.
