About this event

The cabinet exhibition 'Meet Asian Art: The Awakened' showcases stone and bronze sculptures from China, Thailand, Tibet and Korea, representing one and a half millennia of Buddhist art. Many of the objects have been in the museum's collection for up to eighty years. Highlights include life-size Buddha figures, miniature altars from the Sui and Tang dynasties, and small clay votive tablets that are still placed at sacred sites today.
