At the traditional Darmstadt Arts and Crafts Market, over 70 exhibitors present their handmade creations on Friedensplatz. You’ll find everything from individually designed jewellery and ceramic pieces to leather goods, textiles, glass art, and upcycled fashion. Many makers demonstrate their techniques right at the stall—watch them sew, carve, or solder—and some even customise items on the spot. Throughout the weekend, the CityKlavier piano provides live background music, while food and drink stands offer coffee, cake, falafel, and regional wines. Free admission makes it easy to wander between the stalls, pick up a unique gift, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
