About this event
Editor Franziska Hauser and author Olga Hohmann read from the anthology “Ost*West*frau” (Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt), a collection in which women reflect on love, family, motherhood and self‑determination as they experienced them in East and West Germany. After the reading they talk with moderator Undine Fuchs about writing from one’s own biography and about why the different female experiences in East and West remain relevant today. The event is part of the free series “Frauen zwischen Ost und Jetzt” for German Unity Day and takes place in the Stadthaus, right in the new old town – a calm, reflective literary evening for anyone curious about contemporary German literature and the legacy of a divided country.
