Where Artists Live Jam Vol.06

About this event

Frankfurt collective HOUSEaHOLICS is on a mission to nurture and evolve house culture across Germany. The genre and its dance style grew out of Black, Latin American, and queer communities in 1980s Detroit, New York, and Chicago, defined by fluid, continuous footwork on fast beats and later absorbing flavours from many other styles. This jam is all about dancing together and swapping ideas: dancers of any level can hit the floor, improvise, and connect, while the resident DJs spin a set of house grooves that range from classic bumpers to deep contemporary edits. There is no performance pressure – it is about the vibe and community. Anyone who simply wants to listen and soak up the energy is equally welcome. The „Beyond the Floor: House for Everyone“ series throws the doors open regardless of age, dance experience, gender, or knowledge of house culture. Admission is free, so you can dip into the local house scene or simply let the music and movement carry you – right in the middle of the Tanzfestival Rhein-Main.
