This family-friendly performance blends the Brothers Grimm fairy tale with the older Italian version by Giambattista Basile. Expect a poetic journey through a lying goat, a furious father, a man-eating wild man in an enchanted valley, a self-laying table, a gold-donkey, and a cheating innkeeper who gets her comeuppance. Simple objects, puppets, and musical and dance elements create a sensory experience that leaves room for imagination. The play asks what really makes us happy — enough food, riches, or family togetherness — and is suitable for everyone aged 4 and up.
