Pat Moore, a Berlin-based American stand-up, brings a storytelling-forward, self-deprecating style to the stage as he unpacks the messy business of adapting to life in Germany. From a smal town upbringing to a Berlin flat with his German wife and a very needy dog, Moore mines the humiliating and strangely universal material you do not find in expat guidebooks: cross-cultural relationships, the textile-free welness centre, bureaucratic nightmares, and the American inability to regulate volume. His comedy is personal and punchy—no national pride, no German, and no interval. The evening is a strait 75-minute set, first-come-first-served seating (so arriving early helps with good seats), and a full bar is open throughout. The show is performed entirely in English, making it an easy fit for the local expat crowd, international couples, or anyone who has ever felt lost in a new country and could use a wry apology from an American.
