About this event
The Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, one of the world's oldest and most renowned orchestras, returns to the Alte Oper under the baton of principal conductor Daniele Gatti. The programme features Ludwig van Beethoven's iconic Violin Concerto performed by the celebrated violinist Augustin Hadelich, paired with Johannes Brahms' Second Symphony. Before the concert, join a free music seminar in the Albert Mangelsdorff Foyer (from 18:30) where Dr. Ulrike Kienzle explores “Johannes Brahms and the lightness of summer.”
