On this evening, the Rhine valley transforms into a sea of lights: dozens of decorated ships glide in a convoy past the legendary Loreley rock, which shines in fiery red Bengal illumination. On land, the traditional wine market on the historic marketplace invites you to sample over 150 regional wines while live brass band music and a lively party band set the mood. The day culminates in a breathtaking musical fireworks display that fills the narrow valley with colour and sound. Afterwards, the celebrations continue with dance music and local wine stands, making use of the mild late-summer night.
