About this event
MISHPOCHA reimagines the Yiddish word for family as a celebration of creative togetherness. Across four themed rooms – ROOTS, MIX, PLAY and a forecourt sculpture by Deborah Kass – you encounter contemporary art, immersive multimedia installations and hands-on music-making. Works by Tammy Rae Carland, Geoff McFetridge, Nirit Takele and others explore memory, identity and belonging, while soundscapes and large-scale projections plunge you into the worlds of punk, hip-hop, techno and Riot Grrrl. The exhibition is accompanied by an Open Stage programme, concerts, artist talks, workshops and satellite shows in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim.
