This hybrid event presents Maggie O’Farrell’s new novel ‘Land’, set in 19th-century Ireland just after the Great Famine. After visiting an ancient, mystical grove, cartographer Tomás becomes obsessed with capturing the catastrophe in his maps – and his family is never the same. The conversation, moderated by Margarete von Schwarzkopf, switches between English and German, with German readings by actress Ellen Schulz-Krandick. Whether you attend in person or via stream, you’ll step into a story about scars, hidden treasures, and children who lose and find each other again.
