The FlieKü (Flying Artist’s Room) touches down in Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel, turning François-Mitterrand-Platz into a creative hub for a whole weekend. On Friday afternoon, the artist collective YRD.Works invites everyone to craft their own putter and play a playful minigolf course, with official opening speeches at 4 pm. Saturday brings two architecture tours (1 pm and 3 pm) exploring the mobile studio and its surroundings. The weekend closes on Sunday with the 34th Bahnhofsviertel Classics open-air concert: a quartet of double bass, guitar, accordion and violin – including HR principal double bassist Ioan Cristian Braica and Colombian guitarist Carlos Vivas – plays a journey from Eastern European folk tunes and French jazz manouche to Latin American rhythms, seasoned with Bach, Brahms and Paganini. Everything is free and especially aimed at children and young people, but all residents are welcome. Ice cream and drinks are available on site.
