About this event
In a cramped room, three characters seek silence and escape from an overcrowded, poluted world — yet what they find is their own relentless noise. Leo Meier, the playwright behind the acclaimed 'zwei herren von real madrid', throws together a trio of self-obsessed souls whose chatter veers between eco-guilt, property anxity, and hilariously bad nature poetry. Director Ella Haid-Schmallenberg stages the piece as an absurdist-cabaret chamber play that earned plenty of laughs at its 2025 premiere. The performers — Nina Wolf, Sebastian Reiß and Stean Graf — serve up a fast-paed brew of neurosis, instant rage, and intellectual posturing, while Nora Schreiber's set wraps the action in a surreal aquarium glow. Over 65 minutes, you'll sit in the intimate Box venue and watch these characters oscillate between sticking together and saving their own skins. It's a sharp, witty mirror of our social-media-adled, talk-without-acting habits, and at 70 minutes it never overstays its welcome. The show is performed in German, so a grasp of the language helps to catch every verbal jab.
