About this event
To mark Germany’s first major retrospective of Leonor Fini, the SCHIRN opens after hours for a masked ball. Fini’s work, shaped by the Renaissance, Symbolism and magical Surrealism, is full of sphinxes, hybrid creatures and commanding women caught between dream and myth. The artist herself adored costume and disguise, and that impulse drives the night. You’ll move through the museum’s foyer and exhibition galleries as music sets a surrealist mood. Masks are encouraged, but the real draw is the opportunity to shed your everyday self and step into a world of seduction, fantasy and transformation for a few hours.
