About this event

What begins as a cancelled dinner party turns into a razor-sharp chamber piece about one couple's marriage. Chris Nonnast and Jörg Seyer play SHE and HE, who are expecting friends when a phone call delivers a bizarre story of a burglary and a missing wife. Their idle speculation quickly spirals into a marital argument where HE mansplains his way through relationship theories and SHE answers with a strategic naivety that becomes increasingly cunning. Audrey Schebat's French boulevard comedy lives from precisely aimed punchlines and the simple joy of watching two people dissect their partnership with ever more absurd logic. The piece cheerfully upends traditional gender roles and presents a domestic quarrel that is more likely to make you laugh than cringe. Laura Remmler's staging relies on the chemistry of its two performers and a living-room set that makes the audience feel like they are sitting at the table alongside the action.
