About this event
The Prunk- und Fremdensitzung is the main gala evening of the Bernemer Käwwern, a carnival club founded in Bornheim in 1935. It follows the classic Frankfurt Fastnacht format: you sit at tables in the hall and watch a stage programme of carnival performances, with the audience joining in the cheering and singing along. The evening is led by Thomas "Bäppi" Bäppler-Wolf, a well-known Frankfurt entertainer who has been the club's session president since 2025. A ticket seller's listing also promises a number of known acts from radio and TV, but no individual performers are named on the sources we saw, so the exact line-up is unconfirmed. Expect a long, lively and loud evening in local dialect and humour that suits adults of all ages, especially people who enjoy traditional carnival, in costume or not. It is very much a local, Bornheim-rooted event, and the humour and songs are mostly in German, so English speakers will get more from it with some German.
